hM Grey provides airborne LiDAR data and video / imagery for the utility sector. Our area of expertise is capturing data related to Vegetation Management, Asset Management, Greenfield Inspection, and Transmission Intelligence. We focus on high speed corridor mapping and high-density applications: e.g. mapping and monitoring of critical infrastructure like power lines, railway tracks, pipelines, runways, watersheds, etc. Data is quickly gathered, interpreted, and provided back to our clients on their timeline.
With our platform of choice, typical capture rates are up to 200+ miles of LiDAR per day and 300+ miles of FLI a day depending on weather. Much of our technology comes from years of trial and error, learning what works in the field and what wastes valuable time.
We have developed our own Machine Learning / AI software to detect and track structures in real time, if you do not know where your structure is on earth, we can tell you within meters exactly were it is. Our proprietary software also works autonomously – NO OPERATOR NEEDED, reducing costly errors, re-flys and keeping the cockpit sterile so the pilots can do their job.
After an image is captured our components begin, cropping, coloring, geo-tagging and inspecting the image, all without the aid of a human.
