hMGrey provides aerial services for the Utility sector. Our focus is to collect LiDAR, video, still image and other data points used to maintain, forecast and better understand utility structures.
Aerial Utility Services
• Customizable Payloads: hMGrey has been developing and building custom payloads for over 7 years. We partner with trusted vendors like Riegl, GSS and PhaseOne when needed but when a solution isn’t commercially available we build it in house.
On-board Communications
• Near Real Time Data Transfer: Understanding real time or near real time data can help you better understand what needs immediate attention and what can wait. Being out in the field doesn’t mean waiting days for data. We can provide actionable intel from the most remote places in the world.
High-Quality Video and Still Image Capture
• Next Generation Equipment: Utilizing BlackMagic Ursa cameras, hMGrey captures up to 12K 60 FPS video for detailed utility structure analysis. All video is Geo-Encoded with Latitude, Longitude and Altitude. If you need to see a cotter pin or serial number from 500′ AGL we prefer PhaseOne’s iXM series. We are well versed on what these sensors can and cannot do.
Efficient Data Processing
• Timely Delivery: Data is processed swiftly, ensuring clients receive their information within days, NOT weeks or months, to aid in maintenance and forecasting. Today’s GPU and processors can be deployed in the field and that is exactly how we use them. Processing no longer needs to happen back on on the ground in an office. We process our data as soon as it is captured.
Web-Based Project Management
• Interactive SaaS Analysis Tools: hMGrey’s proprietary software facilitates project tracking and data analysis, integrating location-based visualization for informed decision-making. Our web-based software was developed for gathering, managing and analyzing data in a shareable environment. Rooted in the science of geography, we integrate exact locations with visualization into layers of information using map, 12K video and multiple video players. With this unique capability, SDCO reveals deeper insights into data, such as patterns, relationships and situational awareness – helping our users make smarter decisions.
Edge Detection and Artificial Intelligence
• Machine Learning: With millions of structures captured by still images cameras and hundreds of hours of video our Machine Learning models are some of the most advanced in the field. We have thousands of images of missing cotter pints, broken insulator bells, delaminated cross arms, wood pecker holes, missing top caps, dead or dying trees, erosion, worn shackles and rings – all of that means our models are trained on NON-SYNTHETIC images, finding problems with lines that most might miss.
